Month End: February

Hello, everyone! I have to apologize for such a late month end post. I’ve been so wrapped up in midterms and spring break that I didn’t have the time to sit down and focus on this post. February was filled with valentine’s festivities, bike rides, and creativity.

As you may already know, Logan and I had some Valentine’s Day pictures taken by my sweet friend Brennley (you can find her work here). They were taken at one of the quaintest cafes in Chattanooga called Niedlov’s Breadworks.

I attended a flower arranging class during the month, and had the best time learning about flower care and placement when it comes to arranging. We had such an assortment full of tulips, wax flowers, ornamental kale, roses, and eucalyptus. You can read all about it here.

The weather was finally warm enough (I’m talking mid-70’s) to take a bike ride to across the bridge and to make a pit-stop at Rembrandt’s. It’s the perfect place to take a break if you bike from campus to Coolidge Park.

My Valentine’s Day gift to Logan was an entirely homemade meal! I made the three cheese shrimp ravioli with creamy tomato sauce all from scratch. It took about three hours start to finish but it was definitely all worth it. I also baked some crème brûlée for dessert.

I went on a little painting spree this month… mainly because I had to. I wanted to paint a crest for my business cards and a golden retriever for Logan’s birthday. I don’t have all my paintings pictured, just my favorite ones. 😉

The Lenten Season has finally begun and I made the decision to give up all drinks with any added sugar, so I now take my coffee black and my tea completely unsweet.
