A Fall Weekend Adventure: See Rock City!

P2000607

A little over a year ago, Logan and I got memberships to an attraction near us called Rock City Gardens and it has been well worth every penny! I can’t decide which season I prefer to see Rock City in the most. In the spring, the gardens are loaded with cherry blossom trees with pink petals covering the ground. In the summer, the hydrangeas and the summer music festivals are in full swing. In the fall, the leaves are changing and “Rocktoberfest” is being celebrated. And near the holiday season, they celebrate Christmas with the “Enchanted Garden of Lights”. Rock City is defintely a must see every time of the year! We’ve also taken Oscar and he is even a fan. If there’s is one thing I’m most thankful for about Logan it’s that he enjoys exploring just as much as I do! We rarely spend time sitting around and take any opportunity we can to get out of the dorm. Our Rock City memberships have really come in handy when we don’t know what to do on a sunny afternoon.

Among all the rocks, there are caverns and caves and a few shops on the mountain. I reccommend stopping for a bite to eat at Cafe 7, which is within the gardens, or Cafe on the Corner, a little restaurant about seven minutes away.

My Longchamp Le Pliage backpack has become one of my best friends when I go on a trip that includes a lot of walking or exploring where I need to have my hands free. It’s the perfect size and can hold a light jacket, water bottles, and a camera. Sometimes I just put my entire purse in there!
